Intense Primer Frameset
The Intense Cycles Primer Frameset is a modern trail bike chassis built for riders who want one bike that does nearly everything exceptionally well. Blending lightweight efficiency with confident descending manners, the Primer sits at the sweet spot between all-day trail riding and aggressive all-mountain performance.
Drawing on Intense’s deep race and gravity heritage, the Primer features a lower-link-driven suspension design that delivers a refined balance of pedaling efficiency, mid-stroke support, and small-bump sensitivity. The suspension remains composed and efficient on climbs, while opening up smoothly on descents to handle technical terrain, fast corners, and repeated impacts with confidence.
The rear shock is positioned low and centrally within the frame, helping to lower the bike’s center of gravity and improve overall balance. This design choice enhances stability without dulling the bike’s lively, responsive handling, making the Primer equally comfortable threading technical climbs, railing corners, or flowing through high-speed trail sections.
Updated for modern component standards, the Primer frameset is equipped with a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) and is fully compatible with SRAM T-Type transmissions, offering improved drivetrain durability, precise alignment, and future-proof compatibility. Designed around modern trail geometry and wheel standards, the Primer delivers confident handling across a wide range of terrain and riding styles.
